Dr. Melody has lived and practiced in the area since 2009.  She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota in 2000.  Since joining the St Francis team in 2026 she has expanded our practice to include the care of exotic species such as birds, reptiles, rabbits and small rodents.  Her experience in ultrasound has also been put to good use allowing the offering of abdominal and cardiac ultrasound services within our clinic. 

Dr. Melody grew up in eastern Montana and has practiced in Colorado and Kentucky prior to returning to Minnesota.  Her hobby farm has included a variety of animals over the years but is now down to 2 horses, 6 cats and 2 dogs.  She actively participates as a volunteer in 4-H and helps her daughter who shows dressage.  Hiking, horseback riding and playing the piano are some of her interests.
